Introduction

Statutory registration brings the osteopathic profession onto the same level playing field as all other health practitioners.  Registration within a scope of practice is a way of ensuring that health practitioners are competent, fit to practise and accountable.  As such, it provides a framework for ensuring that the health and safety of the public is paramount.
