Council Meetings
The full Council meets quarterly, usually in Wellington and for one business day.
The Council has also appointed a number of sub-committees that conduct aspects of the Council's business under authority delegated to them by the Council. The sub-committees convene as-and-when-needed and often conduct their business by electronic communications (as authorised by the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003) in order to achieve economic and timely decision-making.
Persons wishing the Council to consider any matter need not wait for particular meeting occasions. Submissions may be sent to the Council's Registrar at any time and she will arrange for the matter to be considered by the Council at the first opportunity.
